Hughie grapples with the complexities of his memories and the emotional weight they carry. When his therapist refers him to an enigmatic program called ‘Re-Run,’ Hughie embarks on a mind-bending journey through his past. As the lines blur between reality and perception, he is forced to confront the haunting truths hidden within his subconscious. ‘ReRun’ explores the fragile nature of memory and how our emotions shape the stories we tell ourselves which in turn, shapes our own character.
My First Feature Film
This was my first feature film. My first time writing a full-length screenplay. I poured every part of myself into it—every question I’ve ever wrestled with about memory, about regret, about how we hold onto the past and how the past holds onto us. I didn’t write ReRun because I had the answers. I wrote it because I needed to ask the questions out loud.
It’s raw, it’s personal, and at times, it was terrifying to make. But it taught me what kind of filmmaker I want to be,one who doesn’t just show you something, but makes you feel it deep in your gut.
