So here we go…
Let’s get the easy stuff out of the way.
(Then we can move on to the good stuff… the real human parts of me.)
I’m a filmmaker. A director. A writer.
Kind of an actor, depending on the day.
I’ve won an Emmy.
I’ve taken original work through the festival circuit and brought home a few awards.
I’ve spoken on stages, told stories for big brands, and collaborated with celebrities, athletes, influencers… and a few of my favorite people: friends and family.
That’s the résumé.
Now let’s get personal.
I make films to ask questions I don’t have answers to.
I write because I believe dialogue has the power to move mountains.
I direct because I can’t stand when truth gets buried under good lighting.
I act because sometimes the best way to understand a character is to walk them through a hallway with nothing to say.
Off set, I’m a husband. I’m a dad.
That’s the only title I don’t need to rewrite.
I’m not sure when it started. The need to make things.
Maybe it was a VHS tape. Or a silent car ride. Or playing a time travel game in my backyard with my dog when I was five.
I don’t remember the moment I became a filmmaker. But… I remember how it felt: like being seen by something that couldn’t talk back.
